"On the Brink: Uncharted Waters"  was an official selection of the 9th Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival. It screened at The Square Publika on October 15th.


“On The Brink: Uncharted Waters” was an official selection of the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in London. The film was nominated in the categories of Best Short Documentary and Best Director for a Short Documentary.

"On The Brink: Uncharted Waters" was part of the Shark Summit Philippines 2016.  The documentary screened on Nov. 9th  at Silliman University.

“On the Brink: Uncharted Waters” screened at the Scuba Center, Minnesota’s largest PADI scuba diving school on Feb. 1. The screening was followed by a Q&A with producer Neela Eyunni.


"On the Brink: Uncharted Waters" screened in part at the Philippine Consulate in Chicago. This was followed by a discussion on responsible ecotourism presented by On the Brink's producer Neela Eyunni and underwater cinematographer Robert Suntay.

"On the Brink: Uncharted Waters"  was an official selection of the Awareness Film Festival. It screened at Regal Cinemas in Los Angeles on Oct. 12th and won the Grand Jury Activist Award.

“On the Brink: Uncharted Waters”  had its Midwest premier at the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival.

"On the Brink: Uncharted Waters" had its Asia premier at The Mind Museum in Metro Manila, Philippines. The screening was followed by a panel discussion with Dr. AA Yaptinchay of Marine Wildlife Watch of the Philippines, Anna Oposa of Save Philippine Seas, and Robert Suntay of SEA-VIP Institute and Studio H20. The panelists discussed responsible ecotourism and where to draw the line between conservation and exploitation. 

PAST screenings

"On the Brink: Uncharted Waters" screened at Harvard University. This event included presentations by SEA-VIP President Robert Suntay on the importance of the Verde Island Passage and Neela Eyunni on the challenges and opportunities associated with ecotourism.

"On the Brink : Uncharted Waters" screened at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute on Oct. 4th. This was followed by a Q&A with On the Brink's producer Neela Eyunni and underwater cinematographer Robert Suntay. 

"On the Brink: Uncharted Waters" first aired on National Geographic Channel Asia on February 8th.  It also aired on National Geographic Channel Philippines on January 31st.

On The Brink : Uncharted Waters 

"On The Brink: Uncharted Waters” had its U.S. premier at the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival. The documentary was awarded the 2016 Conservation Award.
